Just attach the Zepp Sensor to any golf glove using the included golf glove mount and swing away to get instant feedback on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.

Stop guessing at how to improve and start empowering your game with data and insights that will make you a better and more consistent player.

See Your Swing Like Never Before
Whether you’re at the range, on the course or practicing at home, now you can replay and review your swing in 360° from any angle on your smartphone or tablet. Visually compare the shape and angle of your backswing to your downswing to help identify common flaws like “coming over the top”. Even overlay and compare two different swings or compare your swing to a growing database of PGA coaches and pros.

Zepp Golf paves the way for improvement by empowering players and coaches to measure some of the most important aspects of the golf swing: club head speed, club plane, hand path, hand speed, swing tempo, backswing club angle, hip rotation and more. It helps you understand your baseline metrics, analyze how effective and consistent your swing really is and work on mastering the repeatability of your ideal swing.

360° Swing Analysis
Zepp Golf is a powerful tool that shows you exactly what your club and hands are doing in 3D space during every swing. Spin around and analyze your club plane, club path and hand path in 360° from any angle. Then zoom in and compare how closely the shape of your backswing matches the shape of your downswing. Seeing your swing in 3D is one of the best ways to identify common flaws like “coming over the top” or a short backswing.

Swing-Friendly Design
The Zepp Sensor and golf glove mount were designed to be featherlight and stay out of your way so that you can swing like you normally do without any adverse effects. The glove-based design eliminates the need to tamper with your clubs by adding weight and bulk and also eliminates the hassle of uninstalling and installing a club-based sensor every time you switch clubs. The Zepp Sensor features a rechargeable 8-hour battery and easily attaches to any golf glove (righty or lefty).

Instant Feedback
Zepp Golf measures some of the most important aspects of your swing and uses a color-coded dashboard to help you easily identify what you’re doing well and what you need to work on after every shot and hitting session. You can also focus your practice and work on one aspect of your swing at a time. Just set your phone or tablet on the ground or lean it against the stall and swing away to get instant feedback and data.

Compare Swings
Have you ever wanted to overlay and compare two swings at the same time or compare your swing to a pro? Well now you can. Select any two swings and replay them simultaneously from any angle or compare the data for each swing side by side. You can also compare your swing to a growing database of PGA coaches and pros.

How It Works?
Zepp Golf was designed to be extremely easy to use. Just download the free Zepp Golf app on your smartphone or tablet, attach the Zepp Sensor to your golf glove using the included golf glove mount and wirelessly connect the sensor to your phone via Bluetooth. Whenever you swing, your swing data will automatically and instantly appear on your smartphone or tablet. There’s no limit to how many swings you can store and analyze in the app.

Zepp Golf 3D Swing Analyzer Review

I got a Zepp Golf 3D Swing Analyzert for Christmas. I went out to the range today to put it through it's paces. It's an interesting idea, but overall, one I think that doesn't provide much value to the golfer. Here is a pretty detailed review.

For a baseline, I'm a scratch golfer with about a 115mph driver club head speed. My misses are either a pull hook or a slice due to my over the top move.

The concept is simple, you clip a small (1x1) sensor onto your glove hand. The sensor stores various swing physics and transmits to your phone via a bluetooth connection.

Pro Golf EquipmentSetup was simple as could be. Sign in with an email address, pair the Zepp via bluetooth and you're off to the races. The Zepp will then ask you to calibrate the sensor, which consists of you standing in your address position for 3 seconds. The problem with this is it's a pain in the neck to push a button on your phone and then grip a club and get into a setup position in the 2 seconds they give you before calibration starts. First strike.

Once you're calibrated, all you have to do is select your club and swing. Repeated swings will get attributed to the same club until you change the club via the app, so you have to be sure you don't forget when you switch clubs to open the app. I found the actual use very simple, it requires almost no user input and the sensor itself is not noticeable on the hand.

The whole point of the Zepp is to provide you with metrics of how your swing looks. It measures or estimates things like club speed, club plan variation, hand plane variation, tempo, backswing length, hand speed and hip angles. It does some better than others.

I can tell you the hip angle sensor is useless. You can make 5 identical swings and get readings from 2* to 45*. Utterly useless.

Club speed was consistently estimated low for me (I was able to use an actual clubhead speed device to compare), generally anywhere from 5-15mph low. I assume it's because the Zepp cannot account for the amount of lag you generate so it's guessing based on your hand speed. The other annoying thing is that if you like to practice anything other than full swings, these count against your clubhead speed. For example, I hit lots of low trajectory shots with a low speed with my irons on purpose, so you'll see my iron clubhead speed is not in the green.

Club and hand plane seemed to be about right, along with the backswing length; I've always been about 5* over the top or so and a little long on my backswing.

All of these measures somehow add up to a swing "Score."

Where the Zepp excels is in displaying the data. You have a plethora of interactive models, graphs, displays, and ways to slice and dice the data. The data analyst in me loved that.

But the big question is, what do I do with it? I don't know how to turn this data into actions. On top of that, I'm in the "Green" already even when I set the baseline to professional. I'm obviously not a professional, so it's clearly not able to find my faults.

Even if I were a novice that saw lots of areas for improvement from my Zepp, the data would probably only confuse me and on top of that probably make me worse as I try to invent my own fixes.

Where I think the Zepp has some value is as a relative, not an absolute tool. What I mean by that is that it does a pretty good job of comparing one swing to the next. The absolute numbers like club head speed may be way off, but the relative numbers of "that swing was faster than the last one" are reliable.

Overall, I say this is a pretty cool novelty that will appeal to techy golfers. But appreciate it is just that, a novelty, and don't expect to gain any handicap-busting insights, especially for a more accomplished golfer.
